Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn. Bhd. the only cement manufacturer in Brunei Darussalam, is a joint venture investment between "Butra", a local Bruneian company and "HeidelbergCement Group", one of the world's leading producers of cement, concrete and building materials with 77 million tonnes of cement capacity worldwide in more than 50 countries.
The project started with the intention of substituting supplier of cement because this will ensure priority in supply, competitive pricing and quality control.

The factory was designed to supply the whole of Brunei market. Senior Managers were brought in from major international cement companies to train the local technicians and operators.

We are in the new millennium and Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn. Bhd. is geared up to meet the challenge be it housing, sky scrapers, flyovers, sea water protection dykes or bridges across rivers.
