In line with HeidelbergCement Group’s Health and Safety Policy, BHC has implemented its Health & Safety Management System since 2004 and certified OHSAS 18001 by Bureau Veritas.
 

The Health and Safety Policy states that the Company shall comply with all relevant legal requirements of health and safety, encourage and support Government and community initiatives for health & safety promotion, eliminate and reduce injury and occupational illness by establishing and maintaining safe work system and take proactive measures to communicate occupational health and safety hazards to all employees working for the Company or on its behalf.

 

Employees are provided with protective gears for their safety. Regular health check-ups are also done to ensure employees are in the best of health to carry out their duties.

• Minimize the impact of its operations on the environment by reducing dust emissions, using energy and resources efficiently and encouraging usage of environment friendly materials.

• Eliminate and reduce injury and occupational illness by establishing and maintaining safe work system

• Necessitate continual improvement of its QEHS management system by setting and reviewing objectives.

• Take proactive measures to communicate customer requirements, environmental impact, and occupational health and safety hazards to all persons working for BHC or on its behalf.
